The idea for THE CROWNED MONSTERS DUET came to me one day while I was traveling for work. I’ve written stories as a hobby for years, and decided to take a shot at the dark romance genre. After reading about possessive and unhinged MMC’s, I decided to create Rafe Vaughan, “The Dark Monster of NYC.” And Adela Sinclair? She was the strong and feisty FMC that I felt was missing. I read a lot of dark romance books where the FMC was the more innocent one that was obsessed over by the wild MMC. I am forever grateful for these characters and these books, as I definitely learned a lot. There were grammatical errors and other things that didn’t really resonate with readers. So, I took those negative reviews and made some changes, re-releasing the books in 2026.
These books were both very spice-heavy, and at first, I thought that what I wanted to write. However, once I began THE FALLING STAR TRILOGY, I resonated more with a plot-driven story with some spice sprinkled in. I’m learning as I go, and I’m very excited to see how my craft evolves!
